Industrial uses:
Industrial uses are ranked fourth in the EPA's food recovery hierarchy. Food can be utilized to fuel your automobile or generator in addition to feeding people and animals. Finding practical ways to produce biofuel and other bioproducts from wasted food is of growing interest. These alternatives aim to lessen the negative economic and environmental effects of food waste while, in the case of biofuels, increasing the use of alternative energy sources.
Composting:
The fifth layer of the EPA's food recovery hierarchy is composting. Even after all efforts to use your discarded food have been made, certain inedible components will still be present and can be composted to feed and bolster the soil.
